Tineke Netelenbos

Tineke Netelenbos has held a wide range of public and industry positions in the Netherlands, including Member of the Second Chamber of the States-General (1987–1994; 2002–2003), President of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Health Care, and Sub-President of the Parliamentary Committee on Disabled Persons. She served as State Secretary of Education, Cultural Affairs and Science from 1994 to 1998, and as Minister of Transport, Public Works & Water Management from 1998 to 2002. She subsequently served as Acting Mayor of Oud-Beijerland (2005–2006), Acting Mayor of Haarlemmermeer (2006–2007), and Acting Mayor of the municipality of Ede (2007–2008).

Since June 2008 she has been Chairman of the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR). Her other positions include President of the Study Options-Information Higher Vocational Education Quality Board, President of the Annie M.G. Schmidthuis Foundation, President of the Team Alert Advisory Body, President of the Labour Market Sea Shipping Taskforce, and membership of a number of other advisory boards and councils.
