Takis Koutris

Panagiotis (Takis) Koutris is Managing Director of Roxana Shipping SA and Kristen Marine SA. A Naval Architect and Marine and Mechanical Engineer (M.Sc.), he was born in 1957 in Athens and graduated from the National Technical University of Athens in October 1980, where he studied Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering.

After graduation he was employed at Alfa Laval (1983-1984), then Avin International SA (1984-2000) and Athenian Tankers (2000-2001). Since then he has been Managing Director of Roxana Shipping SA - Kristen Marine SA, overseeing a fleet of 25 tankers and bulkers. As of 2008 he is Chairman of the Marine Technical Managers Association (MARTECMA), and as of 2013 he is also Chairman of InterTanko's Safety, Technical and Environmental Committee.
