Selcuk Esenyel

Selçuk Esenyel is the founding and Managing Partner of Esenyel & Partners, a law firm headquartered in Istanbul advising on maritime and ship management, ports and infrastructure, banking and finance, and dispute resolution. He holds an LLM from the University of Buckingham (2007) and an LLB from Selçuk University (2006).

He is Founding Chairman of the Istanbul Bar Association's Maritime Law Commission, a founding member and Secretary General of the Black Sea Shipowners Club, legal adviser to the Turkish Shipbuilders' Association (GISBIR), and a member of BIMCO's Documentation Committee. He has been ranked by Chambers Europe and Legal 500 for shipping and transport work.

Esenyel has spoken at several Mare Forum events in Mykonos and Istanbul, moderating the 9th Mare Forum Istanbul in 2025 and chairing a session at Mare Forum Istanbul in 2026.
