Robbert Jan Sougé

Robbert Jan Sougé is a Director responsible for corporate finance and asset finance activities for the US, European and Scandinavian shipping industry. He has arranged, structured and executed numerous senior and mezzanine ship finance transactions for reputable Dutch and international ship owners.

Before moving into banking, Robbert Jan, as Commercial Director with the Anthony Veder Group ('AV'), was primarily responsible for developing and executing AV's commercial strategy; he marketed and concluded numerous Contract of Affreightment and Time Charter Agreements with oil majors and traders for AV's controlled fleet of LPG tankers worldwide, and initiated and successfully executed the AV Pool concept. Before Anthony Veder, Robbert Jan worked for ING Bank Shipping in Rotterdam and for Nedlloyd Lines, the liner shipping division of the Nedlloyd Group, in Rotterdam and Paris.
