Rajaish Bajpaee

Rajaish Bajpaee combines his academic, technical and business backgrounds (a Marine Engineering degree from MERI, Kolkatta, 1972, and a Master's in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila, 1980) with more than 40 years of industry experience at sea and ashore at senior management level, including Board positions. He is CEO of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement, an integrated maritime services company formed in 2008 by combining four ship management organizations, namely Dorchester Atlantic Marine (1978), Eurasia Group (1981), Hanseatic Shipping (1972) and Vorsetzen Bereederungs- und Schiffahrtskontor (1999), all formerly members of the Schulte Group. The company manages a fleet of more than 650 ships with the support of over 19,000 employees serving onboard and ashore across 31 locations.

Mr. Bajpaee is consistently engaged in contributing to solutions to industry issues. He has served as a Council Member and ExCom Member of INTERTANKO and Vice Chairman of its Asian Panel, an ExCom Member of InterManager, an Advisor to the Departmental Advisory Committee of the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a Member of the Executive Panel of Futurenautics, and Chairman of the Board of Shipping KPIs Limited, continuing to provide stewardship to the KPI Project he conceptualized and initiated during his presidency of InterManager in 2005 and 2006. He has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Nautical Institute, a Triple "A" Award from the Asian Institute of Management, the Glory of India Award, and the Bharat Gaurav Award by the India International Friendship Society.
