Peter Anker began his career as Vice President of R.S. Platou (USA) in Houston (1982–1987). He was CEO of R.S. Platou in Oslo from 1987 to 2015, then President of Clarksons Platou (2015–2019), and from 2019 was Senior Advisor for Broking and Investment Banking at Clarkson PLC. He has been President of the Norwegian Shipbrokers Association and served on the board of the Norwegian Shipowners' Association.
He holds an M.Sc. from the Norwegian School of Economics, Bergen.
He was a panellist at the Nor-Shipping Forum in 2005 and at the 3rd Oslo Shipping Forum in 2007.
