Maurizio D'Amico

Maurizio d'Amico studied at the Università di Ingegneria Navale di Genova, graduating in 1984 as a Naval Architect and Mechanical Engineer. Until 1986 he gained experience in London at a leading P&I club and at the law firm Richard Butler, before joining the Studio Navale Martinoli in Genoa, where he was actively involved in consultancy, insurance claims and design coordination for a major passenger ship conversion. In 1992 he joined d'Amico Società di Navigazione, serving from 1992 to 2000 as coordinator of the development of the technical department. From 2003 to 2006 he was responsible for the project of a 40,000 dwt tanker built in China.

As the person responsible for business and technology development, he actively participates in various international bodies including ICS, Confitarma and RINA, and cooperates with DINAV, the Department of Naval Architecture of the University of Genoa, to follow the evolution of the industry's regulations. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, and has served as a Council Member.
