Martijn Hoogeland

Martijn Hoogeland is Senior Consultant and naval architect at TNO in Delft, specialising in ship and offshore structures. He works on the safe use of alternative fuels on board, lifetime extension and innovative structures, covering corrosion, crashworthiness, fatigue, hydrogen embrittlement and dynamic power cables, and provides independent technical evidence for designs that go beyond existing rules and regulations.

His projects include Green Maritime Methanol and SH2IPDRIVE. Before returning to TNO in 2014 he worked as a naval architect and structural engineer at Bluewater Energy Services, Allseas and SBM Offshore. He holds a master's degree in maritime technology from TU Delft.

He is a panellist at the 25th Mare Forum Ship Finance 2026.
