Marios Valiantis

Dr Marios Valiantis is Director of the Centre for Green Development and Energy Policy at the University of Nicosia. He is also Head of the Energy, Oil, Gas and Environmental Management Academic Programmes and Associate Head of the Department of Management and MIS at the same University.

He holds a PhD from Imperial College London in the field of Atmospheric Pollution and Transportation, an MSc in Environmental Management from Louisiana State University, an MBA from the University of New Orleans, and a BSc in Management and Information Systems, also from the University of New Orleans. He previously worked in consultancy in the United States and United Kingdom, and prior to his current position held the post of Director of Energy and Environment at the AEA Group (Atomic Energy Authority) of the UK in Oxford. He is a certified Prince2 Project Manager, a Lead Auditor of Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001), and a certified NEBOSH practitioner in Oil and Gas Operational Safety, with over 15 years of experience in Energy, Environment and Transportation.
