Khorshed Alam

Khorshed Alam is a Euro Engineer who acquired his BSc in Marine Engineering in Australia and his MSc in Marine Technology from Newcastle University, UK. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of both IMarEST (the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology) and RINA (the Royal Institution of Naval Architects), UK. He has served as Vice President of Germanischer Lloyd-FutureShip for South Asia/Oceania. Prior to this role, he was Director of Engineering, Research & Development and Energy Management at APL (NOL Group), where he worked for 30 years including his sea career, and was involved in various state-of-the-art energy efficiency and environmental projects. He is the author of many technical papers and has spoken at numerous seminars and conferences, and remains actively involved with a number of engineering and energy industry groups.
