Ken Michie

Ken Michie studied at the Merchant Navy College in the mid-1980s before joining a dry cargo market in 1987. Since then he has worked across all aspects of the dry chartering market, based in London and Tokyo in the early 1990s. In 1994 he joined Clarksons, moving to Johannesburg in the post-Apartheid period, before returning to London in the late 1990s where his focus turned to the growth of China and the capesize market. In 2005 he moved to Hong Kong to run Clarksons' dry business, before relocating to Singapore in 2009, where he has served as Managing Director of the company's dry cargo business in Asia.
