Kassem Maged

Kassem Maged's professional career in the offshore Oil and Gas industry spans approximately 34 years, including corporate management and direction of offshore business units for offshore pipelay contractors, and management of large projects in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Having earned an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Houston, he started his management career as a Project Engineer with Brown & Root in Houston, Texas in 1979. He later worked as Construction Engineering Manager for Coflexip & Services, adding deep-water expertise to his portfolio, and expanded into commercial and proposal management with OPI International. He went on to head the Projects Management of offshore construction projects in the Gulf of Mexico for Sub Sea International, Global Industries, J. Ray McDermott, and Allseas, directing and managing large offshore construction pipeline projects in up to 3000 metres of water. He is currently Director of Business Development at Tideway (a subsidiary of Deme Group), based in Houston.
