Karla Peijs

Karla Peijs is a retired Dutch politician of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). She sat on the Utrecht Provincial Council from 1982 to 1989 and was a Member of the European Parliament from 1989 to 2003. She was Minister of Transport and Water Management from 2003 to 2007 and Queen's Commissioner of Zeeland from 2007 to 2013.

She gave a keynote at Mare Forum in 2005 and was a panellist at the 2nd Global Ship Recycling Summit.
