Joep Gorgels

Joep Gorgels was appointed Head of Transportation Europe of Fortis Merchant Bank (later ABN AMRO Bank N.V.) as of January 2006. Joep joined the shipping finance group in 2002 in Rotterdam. Before that he worked with the telecom, media and IT finance desk of Fortis. Before his banking career, Joep worked as a chemical engineer with Fluor in the UK and the Netherlands on several oil, gas and chemical EPC projects. He is a graduate of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
