Jasamin Fichte

Jasamin Fichte founded Fichte & Co in Dubai in 2005. She studied law in Hamburg and maritime law in Southampton, and began her career as a maritime lawyer at international law firms in Hamburg and London. Prior to founding Fichte & Co, Jasamin worked at a leading Lloyd's of London insurance brokerage firm as legal counsel for the Middle East, where she built an extensive network within the maritime community and developed her legal expertise handling marine insurance claims spanning salvage, collisions, wreck removal, cargo claims and personal injury.

She has given numerous presentations and participated in academic seminars on legal topics hosted by organisations including BIMCO, DSAA, DPA and DIAC, has published widely on marine, shipping and transportation law, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and expert panels on topics such as ship finance and marine insurance. Jasamin is also active in business networking, and is a co-founder and organiser of the UAE Shipping Industry Round Table. She serves as Chairwoman of the Legal Subcommittee of The Dubai Council for Marine and Maritime Industries and is a member of the DIFC Courts Rules Subcommittee, among other professional titles and memberships.
