James Rhodes is CEO and Co-Founder of Magnuss Ltd., a maritime shipping technology firm. Magnuss develops onboard systems that reduce fuel consumption and emissions for today's global shipping fleet. A maritime entrepreneur, Mr. Rhodes draws on an extensive network spanning academia, shipbuilding and naval architecture, and brings over 25 years of experience in maritime shipping, renewable energy project development, investment banking and management consulting. He is a frequent speaker and thought leader with numerous articles to his credit on shipping technology and the global carbon markets. Formerly, Mr. Rhodes was Managing Partner of Eco Capital LLC, an energy advisory firm, and COO of GE/AES GHG Services, a renewable energy development firm. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Morgan Stanley for twelve years after a decade at Goldman Sachs and Booz Allen. He holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Brown University.
