Ioannis N. Lagoudis

Dr. Ioannis N. Lagoudis is an Assistant Professor specialising in transportation logistics and supply chain management. Prior to joining the Malaysian Institute for Supply Chain Innovation, he worked in industry as a consultant and in academia, teaching shipping management, strategic management, and decision making and modelling at the University of the Aegean, the Hellenic Open University, and U21 Global. He holds a first degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an MSc and PhD in transport logistics from Cardiff University's Cardiff Business School, and a post-doctoral degree in port logistics funded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). Since 2007 he has been a visiting researcher at Cardiff University's Logistics Systems Dynamics Group, and in 2010 he joined MIT's Center for Transportation and Logistics as a Fulbright Research Scholar, an affiliation he retains today. His research interests span strategic management, transport management, transport logistics and supply chain management, and maritime economics and logistics, and he has published widely in journals including the Transportation Journal, European Business Review, International Journal of Transport Management, Maritime Economics and Logistics, Maritime Policy and Management, International Journal of Shipping Transportation and Logistics, and the International Journal of Aviation Management.
