Gust Biesbroeck held global responsibility for ABN AMRO's shipping and intermodal activities as Managing Director, Transportation. His international career of over 20 years has been entirely devoted to financing the shipping and transportation industry. Prior to becoming Managing Director, Gust was Transportation's risk and portfolio manager for seven years.
Prior to joining Fortis in 2001, Gust worked for over 10 years for Nedship Bank (later DVB) in various commercial and managerial roles based in Rotterdam, Athens and Hong Kong. Gust is a graduate of Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands and completed an executive General Management Programme at CEDEP in Fontainebleau, France, in 2006.
