Greg Evans

Greg Evans began his maritime career with Cunard Line (1987-1995) and Stena Line UK, where he served as Chief Engineer Officer, before joining Lloyd's Register of Shipping in Edinburgh in 1997 as an Engineer Surveyor. He joined the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry in 2003 as a Marine Surveyor, rising through Senior Marine Surveyor, Deputy Director - Safety, Survey and Inspection, and Divisional Director. He is now Global Director - Safety & Compliance at the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands.

He holds Chartered Marine Engineer status (2001) and is a member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.

He spoke at 14 Mare Forum events between 2014 and 2024, moderating the 5th Cayman Islands Shipping and Yachting Summit 2017 and the 5th Super Yacht Americas 2024.
