George Pamboridis

George Pamboridis studied law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens before earning an LL.M. in shipping law from the University of Southampton, an M.Sc. in international relations from the London School of Economics, and a PhD in law from Southampton.

He began his career practising maritime law with Holman Fenwick Willan in the UK, then returned to Cyprus as a partner at L. Papaphilippou & Co. In 2003 he founded his own firm, Pamboridis LLC, where he is Managing Partner. He served as Cyprus's Minister of Health from July 2015 to February 2018, overseeing the introduction of the GeSY national health system, and is the author of International Shipping Law: Legislation and Enforcement (Kluwer Law International, 1999).

He was a panellist at Mare Forum Cyprus in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
