Geert Dokter

Geert Dokter holds a BSc and an MBA. After graduating from his HTS studies in Shipbuilding in Haarlem, he began his career as director/owner of a shipbuilding engineering bureau, working on purchase, sale, engineering and shipbuilding management projects for national and international shipyards and shipowners. After 15 years he moved to Wagenborg Passenger Services as General Manager, and later became Manager Fleetmanagement at Wagenborg Shipping in Delfzijl, the Netherlands, overseeing a fleet of 140 ships, where he was responsible for fleet management, quality assurance and crew management, and led the introduction of the 'Investor in People' programme. During the same period he was also Managing Director of Wagenborg Towing Service. From 2002, Geert served as Managing Director of MPC Münchmeyer Petersen Steamship BV in Groningen, and of the managing partnerships of MPC ship funds established in the Netherlands since 2002. He obtained his Master of Business Administration from Glasgow University in 1996.
