Engel-Jan de Boer

Engel-Jan de Boer joined Lloyd's Register in 1996 and has held a range of technical, operational and commercial leadership roles there. He is now Global Yacht Segment Manager, responsible for the strategic development of LR's worldwide yacht business, working with owners, builders, management companies and regulators on safety, sustainability and innovation in the superyacht sector.

He chairs the Yacht Safety & Environmental Consortium (YSEC).

He spoke at 13 Mare Forum events between 2014 and 2025, moderating the 7th Super Yacht Europe 2025.
