Emanuel Sofronis

Emmanouil (Manos) Sofronis is Director of SSL and Head of SSL's Greek office. A dynamic, leading marine broker with a strong portfolio of business and excellent contacts in the Greek and international marine market, he has fifteen years of experience as a marine broker working in Lloyd's and has established relationships with international underwriters and P&I Clubs.

Since 2007 he has run SSL's Greek office, which he established from no prior physical presence, generating income in excess of USD 4.4m and expanding the business through further acquisitions. Previously he was Assistant Director of the Marine Division at Price Forbes & Partners Ltd (2001-2007), a marine broker at Cogent Resources (1999-2001), and a junior broker at Lambert Fenchurch (1997-1999). He holds a BA (Hons) in Insurance & Investment from City University and a Certificate in Commercial Operations in Shipping from Guildhall University.
