Dr. Ali Obaid Al-Yabhouni

Since 1992 Dr. Ali Obaid Al-Yabhouni has worked in a range of senior positions in the ADNOC Group of Companies. He became Chief Executive Officer of National Gas Shipping Co. Ltd (NGSCO) in 2007, and since 2009 has also led Abu Dhabi National Tanker Company (ADNATCO). He is UAE Governor for OPEC and Chairman of the Board, a Board Member of Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER), Chairman of the TAKREER Board Advisory Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation Board.

Dr. Al-Yabhouni is a member of the International Energy Forum Executive Board, the World Energy Council and the National Communication Committee of the UAE Ministry of Energy. He is President of the Emirates Association for Energy Economics, and Chairman of the UAE Shipping Association, DNV Technical Meetings UAE, and the Lloyd's Register MENA Advisory Technical Committee. He holds a Doctorate of Laws from the University of Tasmania, an MBA from South Eastern University, Washington D.C., and a BSc from the University of Southern Indiana.
