Djamal Djouhri is Chief Executive Officer of Al Ghurair Resources LLC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, a trading and manufacturing organisation with joint ventures in Sudan, Algeria, Lebanon and Sri Lanka, specialising in grains, oils, proteins and pulses. He previously served as Vice President of Al Ghurair Resources from 2004 to 2009, as Marketing Manager of Gulf Import & Export Company in Dubai from 1990 to 2003, and as Head of the Treasury Investment Department at Mashreq Bank in Dubai from 1983 to 1988.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University, USA, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics, majoring in Management, from the University of Algeria's School of Economics. He is a member of the US Wheat Association, the Canadian Wheat Board, the International Association of Operative Millers, the Global Grains Association, the Grain and Feed Trade Association, the US Soybean Export Council and other related industry bodies.
