Dimitris Lyras

Dimitri Lyras, a director of Lyras Shipping, is involved in many initiatives aimed at assisting the shipping industry in effectively addressing legislation and in becoming self-regulating. Mr. Lyras is a member of the Intertanko Council and of the Hellenic committee of Intertanko, and was previously Vice Chairman of Intertanko's Communications and Public Relations Committee, contributing to efforts to improve the image of the shipping industry and encourage a culture of continuous improvement. He has experience as a technical director operating tankers and bulk carriers since 1986, and since 1997 has been Managing Director of Lyras Shipping. He is also the founder of Ulysses Systems.
