Demos Petropoulos

Dr Demos Petropoulos founded and currently manages DPSS Global Consultants, a strategy and management consulting firm engaged in shipping, investment advising, and energy-related ventures. Previously, over an eleven-year career at Ocean Challenge as CEO, he was instrumental in setting up and successfully managing a number of investments in the shipping sector. His earlier experience includes service as a senior officer at the Ministry of Communication and Works, Department of Merchant Shipping in Cyprus, and as Operations Manager at Troodos Shipping in London.

He holds a PhD in Shipping from Piraeus University and an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City University Cass Business School, and graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy - School of Captains in Nea Michaniona, Greece. He also holds an academic post as Assistant Professor at Frederick University Business School and is a visiting Professor at Cyprus University of Technology.
