David St Amand

David St. Amand holds a B.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Webb Institute and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. He previously held senior consulting positions at Booz Allen & Hamilton and Temple, Barker & Sloane (later Mercer Management Consulting, now Oliver Wyman), before founding Navigistics Consulting in 1994, which he led as President. A maritime economist specialising in commercial shipping, he served on the U.S. Towing Safety Advisory Committee (1991-2000) and National Academy of Sciences committees, and was made a Fellow of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.

St Amand has been a panellist at Mare Forum USA in 2006, 2008 and 2009.
