David Peel

David Peel spent 21 years at sea, rising from Cadet through to Master, starting on 9,000-tonne cargo ships with P&O and progressing through a variety of ship types, ultimately serving on deep sea salvage vessels. He then spent 18 years in management, beginning in Operations before initiating the Safety & Quality function at P&O, and moving through several companies to become Deputy General Manager at Golar LNG. David set up RightShip's London office six years ago, which now employs nine vetting specialists and utilises a team of seventy ship inspectors for both dry cargo and petroleum SIRE inspections, making it the second largest uploader into the SIRE system.
