Carleen Lyden Walker

Carleen Lyden Walker is Co-Founder and Executive Director of the North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA). She has also led Morgan Marketing & Communications and served as Executive Director of New York Maritime (NYMAR).

She is an IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador (reappointed in 2022), received a US Coast Guard Certificate of Merit in 2010 and was named one of the Top 100 Women in Shipping in 2021. She holds a BA in Political Science and History from Wellesley College and a USCG 100-ton captain's licence.

Between 2012 and 2019 she spoke at eight Mare Forum events, including the Cayman Islands Shipping Summits, the Blue Shipping forums and Mare Forum USA.
