Bjørn Højgaard

Bjørn Højgaard served in the Danish Royal Navy before joining Maersk, where he worked at sea and ashore, ultimately captaining one of its largest container ships and becoming Managing Director of a major Maersk subsidiary. In 2007 he moved into ship management, spending four years at Singapore-based Thome, before returning to Hong Kong in 2012 to lead Univan.

When Univan merged with Anglo-Eastern in 2015 he became CEO of the combined Anglo-Eastern Univan Group, a position he still held as of 2024.

He was a panellist at the 4th Mare Forum Hong Kong (2023) and an event on Hong Kong as a global maritime hub, and is a panellist at the 6th Mare Forum Hong Kong 2026.
