Andrea Garolla di Bard

Andrea Garolla di Bard was unanimously elected President of the Youth Group Owners of Confitarma, the Italian Confederation of Ship Owners, for the 2013-2016 period, taking over from Valeria Novella.

Born in Naples in 1978, he graduated in Economics from the University “Federico II” in Naples in 2002, and soon after attended a master's programme in shipping in Rome delivered by the University of Malta. After early working experience as a cost controller at ETI (Italian Tobacco Organization) in Rome and in shipping at V.Ships London as a chartering broker and V.Ships Aberdeen in offshore ship operations, in 2004 he joined the family group of companies, where he is presently in the chartering department of Med Offshore, which operates a fleet of owned offshore support vessels, and is a board member of Sarda Bunkers, which owns and operates small tankers mainly used for bunker supply to ships in the ports of Naples and Salerno.
