Alan Hatton

Alan Hatton is Managing Director of Foreguard Shipping. He was previously CEO and an executive board member of FSL Trust Management, trustee-manager of the Singapore-listed FSL Trust, from 2013 to 2017. Before that he was CEO of a privately owned product tanker business from 2007, and earlier worked in M&A and corporate finance at Lazard and Dresdner Kleinwort.

He was named Young Person of the Year at the 9th Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia in 2016 and was featured among Lloyd's List's Next Generation Shipping's Rising Stars in 2015. He holds a BSc and an MSc from the London School of Economics.

He has spoken at Mare Forum Singapore in 2015, 2024 and 2025.
