Abdulkareem Al Masabi

Abdulkareem Mubarak A. Al Masabi is Vice President – Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi Ports Company, responsible for ensuring optimal use of this world-class asset, including achieving all targets in safety, profit, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Among his oversight responsibilities, he leads efforts to maintain and develop relationships with local project stakeholders and the wider business community.

Al Masabi joined Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) as Senior Operations Manager in 2009 with over 11 years of experience in the shipping and ports industry, working with contractors and concessionaires to set performance standards for operations in ADPC ports and harbours. Before joining ADPC, he was Marine Operations Manager with the National Gas Shipping Company (NGSCO), an ADNOC Group company, and before that a Senior Marine Superintendent with Gulf Energy Maritime. For the eight years before that, he was with NGSCO, rising through the ranks aboard the company's LNG/oil tankers from Third Officer to Master/Chief Officer. He holds an Executive MBA with distinction, a Certificate of Competency Class 1 (Master Mariner) and a Certificate of Competency Class II/2 (Chief Marine Officer).
