Ali Shehab Ahmad

Ali Shehab Ahmad was the acting CEO of Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC), the maritime transportation arm of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). In his role as acting CEO, he oversaw KOTC’s fleet operations, new building projects, Marine Agency branch and the LPG Filling branch that supplies LPG to the whole of Kuwait. He also served as the Chairman of KOTC’s Risk Operating Committee, which oversees the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) implementation programme across the company and was a distinguished Chairman and Board Member in KOTC’s subsidiary shipping companies. Ali Shehab is a graduate of South Tyneside College (Marine College) in the UK. As KOTC Sea Cadet, he spent considerable time on board KOTC vessels. His experience at sea saw him lead the Fleet Personnel Group before taking over the critical new building projects. He is also Honourable Chairman of the DNV Middle East Technical Committee.
