History
The history of the Golden Tulip Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky began back in 1866, when the Polish tailor Adolf Wilhelm Krasnapolsky took over the management of a coffee house in the Warmoesstraat not far from the Dam. As an entrepreneur Krasnapolsky kept a close
eye on the latest developments and the possibilities for expanding his company. It wasn't long before he had bought up the adjoining buildings and had hotel rooms and the world-famous Winter Garden built for the World Exhibition in 1883. The Winter Garden is still being used in its original condition and is the central point of the largest five-star congress hotel in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg - Golden Tulip Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky.
