We
are pleased to present MARE FORUM
HOUSTON 2002, entitled A
GLOBAL FORUM on the MARITIME TRANSPORTATION OF ENERGY:
“IDENTIFYING THE PRIORITY POLICY ISSUES”. The
conference is set for November 18th
& 19th 2002 at the Renaissance Houston
Hotel Houston, Texas, U.S.A.
CONFERENCE
GOAL: Identify
major marine transportation issues, which must be managed by
government and industry, to meet short and long-term energy
transportation needs. Provide
attendees with the opportunity to learn about, debate and
influence the resolution of such issues with policy makers from
industry and government.
THE
ISSUE: How
will the international energy and maritime industries meet the
future global demand? Marine
transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, LNG/LPG, coal and
other energy products is essential to worldwide availability of
energy for domestic and industrial use.
The volume of energy cargoes will continue to grow in order
to meet growing demand. The
Forum will examine the many factors potentially impacting the
social and economic environment, which will influence the way in
which the energy and maritime industries will attempt to meet
demand.
Set
for the first time in the United States, THE VENUE
for this Mare
Forum Conference
will be the Renaissance
Hotel in Houston, Texas.
The United States is the world’s largest consumer of oil
