MARE FORUM
& THE BRAZIL-CHINA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY
present the:
MARE FORUM
SOUTH AMERICA
THE BRAZILIAN MIRACLE
Opportunities in shipping and
offshore energy
Tuesday 13 September 2011
Sofitel Hotel
Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
Together with the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIBC)
and supported by the Bazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP),
MARE FORUM organizes the first Mare Forum South America 2011 - The
Brazilian Miracle – Opportunities in Shipping and Offshore Energy on
Tuesday September 13th at the Sofitel Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Brazilian Miracle
Opportunities in Shipping and Offshore Energy
Brazil - A land of rich resources and resourceful people, in a region of
opportunities. Brazil is blessed with massive natural reserves of minerals
and energy, with people who want to work and who are proud of their country
and whose government has made tremendous progress in creating stable
macroeconomic policy, combining growth and greater equality. The results are
clear – a resilient currency, booming exports, and a sustainableprogram for
the development of industry and energy. Through these efforts, Brazil is
showing its neighbours the right road to take. Brazil is proud to be a
regional leader in adopting global practices for a global development to
create opportunities, both within Brazil and the wider region. While there
is no lack of natural resources or desire to grow, there is room for capital,
ideas, entrepreneurs, shipping and shipbuilding expertise and capacity and
for offshore developers and suppliers. Those who engage now in the "Brazilian
Miracle" are sure to experience growth.
A mix of shipowners, charterers, traders, brokers, shippers, investors,
shipbuilders, classification societies, financial institutions, politicians,
regulators and the media, will come together to debate where the shipping
and maritime industries in South America are going, what challenges and
opportunities are to be faced,; where the shipping money is now, and how to
get it,; where the smart investments are going next; how innovation will
affect ship prices and how the markets will affect all of these factors.
Come to Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday September 13th and engage with the leaders
of Brazil’s shipping, shipbuilding, mining, commodities and offshore
companies. Share your ideas, understand their needs and make the vital
contacts you need to engage with the river of opportunities now flowing
through Brazil.
Mare Forum’s free flowing but personal style is ideal for Brazil: Exciting
debates, open discussions, close encountersand valuable face time with the
industry's decision makers. And all of this in the exciting setting of one
of the world’s most happening cities, host of the 2014 world cup and 2016
Olympic games.
